If Kalan Marla, 8yr knew the tip of her figer would be ripped off from a tigers bite at predator's rock bush logde in johannesburg, she wouldnt have joined her father in the tour which was guided by a tour guide. The child's father, Jacques Malan told journalist that the 14 year old daughter of Gert Blom, the lodge owner, told them that the animals were tammed and could be stroked through the wire fence.
Malan watched the tour guide stroking a tiger, then did same, at which point the animal grabbed her hand and bit-off the tip of her finger.
Parents are advised to walk side by side with their wards and monitor what they do, especially during tour of this nature.
